How far apart are studs? My parents' prewar house has them every 18" |

How do I choose a circular saw? Ordered a Skil saw on amazon. 13 amp sidewinder, met my minimal feature list, and had a great price |

How do I choose a circular saw? I've already decided on a sidewinder for the weight. I probably will need a bevel cut at some point. |

How do I choose a circular saw? I would prefer corded because I'd rather keep track of the extension cord which I can see than battery life which I can't. Also, I have a very good Black&Decker drill. Do you have any experience with them? |

What are the tools that every Do-it-Yourselfer must own? I routinely cut down 1-3 inch thick trees/weeds with the mini-saw on my leatherman. |

Should I be concerned about rusty nails just inside an outer wall? sharptooth, guess so. @shirlockhomes, not the bottom of the pantry which is usually covered. It's nailed down because it was curling (installed 10 years prior) I didn't have the right adhesive and wanted a quick fix for that out-of-sight corner. |

Should I be concerned about rusty nails just inside an outer wall? Do you have any advice on how to gather that information? I went outside and took a look. The vinyl siding seemed tight as always and the old wood/tar stuff underneath was in no worse condition than it was when we had it covered. |
