I have lived in in Georgia, France and Vermont. I have lived in and repaired tens of houses along the way. I have learned most of what I know from my mom, a true DIY-er. My experience runs from foundation work to faux painting to cabinet construction.

Are hydraulics stronger against compression or tension? @anon what he is saying is that the cylinders always work with compression,it's just the position. So this is just a decision on where you want the cylinders on top or underneath, so it's up to you. Are you looking for a table or a rack, that's your decision. |

Thin walls means lots of noise @ndubs glad you asked. sound requires hard surfaces to bounce off of. In the link I provided it decribed the change in dB for a room with hard flat surfaces (framed pictures on the walls, hard floors, big windows) to one with shag carpet, no pictures and a towel rack. While this is anecdotal you get the picture. |

Weird problem with kitchen sink water flow are there any appliances hooked up to the same drainage as the sink, as a washer or dish washer hook up could cause something very similar. |

Easy way to get crayon out of grout? Painting over the grout seems extreme, unless it never came out, which it very well should. But this is a great solution for extreme stains. |
