I have lived in in Georgia, France and Vermont. I have lived in and repaired tens of houses along the way. I have learned most of what I know from my mom, a true DIY-er. My experience runs from foundation work to faux painting to cabinet construction.

How do I approach new water stains on my ceiling? When I say pipes, I don't refer to a specific type. Anything in attic I would consider as a possible source for a "running" leak. It could range from ventilation tubing to enclosed electrical wiring. |

Mixed Shade/Light Grass issues I don't think that he's having a hard time growing the grass, rather the type of grass he planted has out grown the old grass. |

What is the easiest way to remove a large root in a post hole I'm digging? @doresoom, I posted this answer, not as a direct response to this question but rather as a general way to get rid of roots. I find this tool to be one of the most effective tools in terms or ground work, but you are right, a strong back is required. |
