comment How to keep two water tanks have maintain the same water level?
Also, please explain how the water gets up into the tanks in the first place. Is it pumped directly from a private well?

Please explain what you mean by "good supply of water." From your description, it sounds like this is a gravity-fed system and not pressurized.

comment How do I appropriately/safely connect multiple power tools to a 20-amp outlet?
I would say it's mandatory to have the 15A breaker on the power strip (or change the one in the service panel) because a 15A power strip on a 20A breaker can see up to 24A continuously. Even draws in the 24-30A range will still make it past the breaker for anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours (until the overload protection, which relies on a bimetal strip heating up, kicks in, and if that bimetal strip is reaching temps of several hundred degrees, I'd imagine your power strip will too.) The DIY 20A power strip is a cool idea too.

comment How can I add a circuit breaker when there are no openings available in the neutral bus bar?
@maple_shaft A subpanel is a lot of work/money just to avoid using a wire nut. If you really want to avoid a wire nut, though, you can ask the manufacturer about drilling and tapping an additional bus bar. Almost all manufacturers allow you to do this.

comment How to connect multiple light fixtures to one switch?
@Tester101 42. Green. 7. Depends. No. Purple. Aaron's answer isn't bad, but Tester101 has a point, which is that you need a competent electrician watching you, correcting any mistakes you might make. You should probably take a course on residential wiring to get your feet wet, and then you'll have a much better understanding of how it works and learn some of the do's and don'ts. Electrical work can be unforgiving.

Wouldn't be tidier in the case of your diagram, but you might still loop one around to the other side if one bus bar is already full for whatever reason.

"You should not connect the neutral to one bus and the ground to the other... right should go to the right bus bar." Not all service panels are set up like the diagram, and even in the diagram, you can loop the neutral and/or ground around the bottom (assuming the service entrance conductor is at the top.) Great job on finding those references, though. I took a look at 250 and a few other sections (including 408, but I was half asleep by then) and found nothing, unfortunately.

comment How do I repair this broken pipe?
Note: a hacksaw is needed to cut the pipe. You will also need PVC primer and glue if you don't have it.

comment Should I pre-built rafter units, or build them in-place?
@JayBazuzi Yep... on second thought, though, it's probably easier to just do the ceiling joists (rafter ties.) If you pulled a permit, you'd probably have to get an engineer involved for the city to approve a design without rafter ties. Rafter ties provide horizontal stability to the opposing walls and also prevent the roof from sagging / pushing the walls apart. Might as well use them, toss some plywood on top, and make some attic-like storage out of it.
