Dropped my first deck of 80-column cards into a RJE hopper in September, 1968, using a language called Algol W.

Mid-career I was using MS Access and Visual Basic for Applications to develop pricing models for freight railroads. As such, I can cite an example where using an ambiguous outer join in SQL is a good idea.

Fast forward to 2011-2013: latest languages have been Ruby and Google Apps Script, although I am not an IT professional at this time.
