Can I cover junction boxes in the attic with insulation? All boxes shall be accessible. NEC 314.29 -The exact interpretation of this is up to the local inspector. Some states / municipalities consider insulation covered boxes to be "accessible", and some do not. As a practical matter, in my own opinion, it's a bad idea to hide junction boxes under insulation where finding them will be difficult when troubleshooting future problems or doing future modifications. |

How can I add two bathroom receptacles behind and above a vanity? Just run it up to your attic and then find the top of that wall that the current outlet is in. Use a 5/8" spade bit to drill a hole in the top plate of that wall right above the existing outlet, then drop the end of the wire right down to the top outlet. Put your GFCI in that one, and then run another cable from the "load" side of the GFCI outlet down to the one under your sink. |

Should We Put our Washer and Dryer Outside? I would be concerned about the water supply hoses on the washer freezing if you get temperatures as low as 20 degrees. |

Should We Put our Washer and Dryer Outside? Funny. As soon as I read the OP's question I was reminded of Ft. Clayton in Panama as well. |

How can I improve my hot water heater's performance? I posted a link in your other topic with instructions on how to fix your valve, if it's fixable at this point. By the way, this valve uses a different system than the plastic "adjustment thingy" I described in my original answer. It's all described in the linked document. |

How to repair a large hole in OSB? I'm not sure I understand the question. We're talking about a hand-held circular saw, right? You wouldn't hold it level. You would just draw lines on the wall and follow them with the saw. |
