I have a satelite box connected in a cubby hole near the tv, but now I am moving the tv to the next room. I would like to keep the box wheer it is and simply run a long HDMI cable through the wall (maybe 15 ft). Is this too long for HDMI, or should I move the box?

This isn't a question for a Home Improvement site. There isn't a consumer electronics Stack Exchange site where it could be migrated to. – ChrisF Sep 28 '11 at 21:58

However, there is one proposed: area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/2274/home-theater - suggest you "Follow" it and vote on potential off topic questions to get it into pre-beta. – The Evil Greebo Sep 28 '11 at 23:50
@Drai, No, that is not too long for HDMI. You will be fine with that length. – auujay Sep 29 '11 at 13:28
