A few years ago I replaced my old drafty windows with high-quality replacement windows. Now I am doing some renovations, which will require some windows to be relocated to a different position. The contractor insists that he can't re-use my "new" replacement windows, because there is no frame or flange in the new location. I'm wondering whether there is some kind of empty frame that can be installed in the same manner as a "new construction" window, which will accommodate the subsequent installation of a replacement window?
