We're buying a new house where we will soon be replacing a quite old bay window. The new window will likely have a white vinyl frame (which we like), however there are other windows on the front of the house that are brown vinyl. Since these other windows are relatively new ( < 5 years ) we were thinking about the possibility of painting the frames white so that they match the new window.

Is painting vinyl window frames even a good idea? If it's possible, what's the best process to follow?

Environmentally, we're located in Ontario Canada so we can have hot summers and cold winters, the house faces due West and the windows that I'm referring to are on the front of the house.
