Looking for advice on my dryer. 3 wks ago the dryer quit heating. Broken element. Replaced the element and everything worked great... For 2 wks. Next thing I know, it's not heating again. Found the wire that goes from the element to the thermostat was burnt and broken. Replaced the wire with the proper replacement. Now, when I run the dryer I notice that the element cycles on and off only once and then stays on. The wire gets very hot, and worried it will burn again, I shut it off. Replaced the thermostat, thinking that was the problem. Nope! The wire still gets hot and the element still cycles on and off only once and then stays on continuously. Shut down and unplugged. Any ideas?

Contacted the manu. Dryer is not on warranty. They wouldn't even put me thru to a tech. Only assistance they would give me is to schedule an appt. with a tech. :( Any advice besides that? – Jen Mar 13 '14 at 17:01
