I have a laundry/toilet/shower built just over 2 years ago. Recently, I engaged a tradesman to relocate the toilet bowl into the shower Recess. Unfortunately, he did not pull out the tiles and rewaterproof the shower and now the shower atea is leaking to the basement, possibly due to his drilling through the tiles.

The tradesman will have to make good the leak. If he pulls up the tiles in the shower recess and the lowest row of surrounding wall tiles, will that be sufficient? Does he need to re waterproof the rest of the laundry/shower room as there may be a break between the shower recess area and the rest of the room if he only rewaterproofs the shower recess.

Can anyone please advise? Thanks
