My thought on insect and rodent pest control is that it is best left to the Pro's. I have several reasons for this line of thought. The chemicals a homeowner can buy are a calculated mix of what works and what is safe. They may not be the most effective chemical or the most cost efficient. An advantage a Pro has is that he/she knows what signs to look for to determine if the treatment is needed and if it is effective. Another plus is that for termite protection most will pay for damage that occurs during the treatment period. If rodents are your problem bait type and placement is critical. The wrong bait in the wrong place can results in decomposing vermin inside your walls.
