Do you have the manual? I do. First link in a Google search... patriot-supply.com/files/icmsc2000_ag.pdf Page 9 – maple_shaft Dec 3 '12 at 18:06

Did you label the wires before you removed them from the old thermostat? – The Evil Greebo Dec 3 '12 at 18:24
-1 because this question is incomplete and the product/model specific nature makes it highly localized and unlikely to help any future visitors. – BMitch Dec 4 '12 at 1:09

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

Is there an existing thermostat? There's not much standardization of the colors used, so you need to explicitly check them: if no existing working thermostat, check what they're connected to inside the furnace on the control board.

Once you figure it out, it's a very good idea to label the wires at your thermostat to avoid any future confusion.

The most common terminals/colors:

R - 24VAC power (usually red)
G - fan (usually green)
W - heating (usually white)
Y - air conditioning (usually yellow)
C - 24VAC common (usually black)

This page actually describes the wiring in a lot more detail than I can here: http://wiki.xtronics.com/index.php/Thermostat_signals_and_wiring
