I plan on setting up a projector outside to project on a giant concrete wall. The problem is that there are no outlets within any feasible distance. I've searched for portable/rechargeable AC power supplies, but they're apparently really expensive ($500+) and are unreliable.

Are there any solutions (as far as supplying power for the projector and maybe a pair of speakers) that are available for $250 or less?

Have you looked into small (and loud) generators? – The Evil Greebo Nov 15 '12 at 15:57

How many Watts? Inverter + car (marine) battery is an easy way to do this. amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=583328 – Wayfaring Stranger Nov 15 '12 at 16:02

Costs vary greatly by region. A generator that might cost me $250 could cost $2500 where you are located. – Steven Nov 15 '12 at 16:16

Half of this question might be how long do you intend this setup to operate for? 2 hours for a movie, or 10 hours overnight? This will get you different answers. – Aaron Nov 15 '12 at 16:41

This gets into brand specific advice and pricing, both of which are considered off topic per our faq. – BMitch Nov 15 '12 at 17:38
