I'm looking for some angle bracket to build shelving. Most of the slotted angle steel/iron I can find is 14 ga. and 1.5" thick at least with lots of holes. I'd like something a little more like the angle steel used in the Eames storeage units, which seems to be 3/4" or 1" maybe and far fewer holes.

Does anyone know where I could find a supplier for something like this?

We don't know where you live, so we can't really answer your very localized question.

But I will say what you could do is pick up 1" metal strips and a brake (a tool for bending metal - rent it from Home Depot or comparable) and make your own. Rent a drill press with metal bits too and you're golden.
