If you explain what you're trying to do, someone may be able to offer another solution as well. Pictures are very useful. –  gregmac Jun 17 '12 at 21:01

The adhesive is significantly weaker than the surrounding materials? I'm not sure the end goal here. Regardless of what the blade is made out of, it is designed to remove the material it is contact with. It shouldn't be harming anything outside the cut. –  DA01 Jun 17 '12 at 22:10

Have you tried 3M™ General Purpose Adhesive Remover? –  Tester101 Jun 18 '12 at 16:25

How about using a heat gun to soften it up? –  Steven Jun 18 '12 at 20:42
