Efazati provided some good general information on cleaning toilets. For that particular stain, it might go away with some standard cleaners and muscle power, however if it proves to be extra stuborn, use a product designed for deposits like calcium, lime and rust. A product that comes to mind is CLR, though there are certainly many other products that accomplish the same thing. |

tips:Paper towels are ideal for cleaning the exterior of the toilet. Since they are disposable, there is a lower risk of spreading germs, and they also absorb the cleaner well and don't leave streaks on the toilet. At the golf course I used to work at we would get terrible mineral deposits from the well water. The only thing we found that worked really well to clean them was "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner. It took them right off without much scrubbing. Be careful though, because the fumes are really strong. |
